Groundhog fans and Super Bowl fans have had much to weigh and consider this week. Groundhog fans know that whatever the prediction, spring will officially arrive March 20, ready or not.  Falcons fans and Patriots fans must wait until Sunday to see which predictions are correct and if their team gets to wear the coveted Super Bowl rings.

SNACK BAG ON A MISSION

Tostitos’ new “Party Safe” bag  knows when you’ve been drinking and will even call you an Uber. The limited-edition bag is equipped with a sensor to detect small traces of alcohol on a person’s breath.  If alcohol is detected the bag flashes a “Don’t drink and drive” message and uses near-field communication (NFC) technology to allow fans to tap the bag with their phone to call a ride. During the Super Bowl, fans nationwide can also receive $10 off their Uber ride.

Fun fact: During the Super Bowl it is estimated that Americans will consume enough wings and snacks to circle the Earth nearly three times.
